Flour Chylde Bakery began in 2002 with one torte which we sold at local farmers’ markets. Our son, young at that time, attended the Saturday farmers’ market along with Mom and Dad, cheerfully greeting customers and handing out tasting samples. Over the next several years we rented kitchen spaces and once had the luxury of baking within an old wood fired brick oven.
We’ve been baking and promoting the benefits of a gluten-free lifestyle for the past 12 years. In that time we have created a line of the most unique, hand-crafted gluten-free products in the region.
As times changed and demand for our hand-crafted baked goods grew, we expanded our business. We purchase the finest ingredients so our focus is on non-GMO, fresh and local. As a result, you can expect to be wowed by the flavors and textures that abound on our menu. When you support us, you are also supporting local schools, civic organizations, and bay area homeless shelters. Our dedicated staff strive everyday for zero waste.
